The GoGo Show is a free live show for grandparents, hosted by Carl "GoGo" Weinkauf and co-host Hilary Kennedy. New episodes air every other Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Central on Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, and each one runs about 45 minutes. Every episode includes a conversation about grandparenting, a few hand-picked gift ideas, and the Lumber Yard Moment, a recurring segment honoring Carl's grandfather. The show premieres Tuesday, September 8, 2026, during Grandparents Day week.

Our mission

We believe grandparents are the storytellers of a family — the ones who remember the recipes, the songs, the traditions and the family history. The GoGo Show is our way of celebrating that role, and giving grandparents a place to gather, laugh, and share what they love.

Above all, we want to help grandparents leave a lasting impression on their grandchildren's lives — the kind of impression they will treasure in their hearts and, one day, pass on to their grandchildren.

Every other Tuesday, GoGo and Hilary sit down with a warm mug of coffee, a handful of hand-picked gifts, and stories worth telling. We keep it light and happy. We keep it kind. And we always end encouraging grandparents to build those things with their grandchildren they will carry with them forever.

The heritage

Big Carl's lumber yard

Long before there was a show, there was a small lumber yard in a tiny town in Wisconsin that was owned by GoGo's grandfather and namesake, Big Carl. Big Carl was a tall, soft spoken, unassuming man. Everyone in that little town loved Big Carl because he was so kind. Every Saturday, he would pick GoGo up and take him to the lumber yard. Whenever Big Carl would look at his grandson he would smile like there was nowhere else in the world he wanted to be. They would walk through the wood barn, with its smells of sawdust, pine sap and creosote. The morning light streaming through the open sides of the barn, lighting up the dust floating in the air. Big Carl would show his grandson how the pattern of growth rings on every piece of lumber was unique, and how to tell a good board from a bad one by reading its grain and line. Big Carl said sometimes if you slow down, the wood will even tell you what it wants to be. Decades later, GoGo would realize Big Carl's lessons were metaphors that not only applied to lumber, but to life.

Those Saturdays at the lumber yard became the backbone of the show. When GoGo talks about slowing down, about being fully present, and building something with your grandkids — this is the place he's remembering.

At the end of every episode he honors Big Carl by saying what his grandfather did for him on those Saturdays long ago: Now it's time to go to the lumber yard. Go build something with your grandchildren.

Carl — “GoGo”

Carl Weinkauf has practiced law for over 40 years and is a proud husband, father and grandfather of three granddaughters. He is also the creative force behind The GoGo Show, a live social shopping and community show made for grandparents. The idea grew out of a simple frustration: going online to find a good gift for his grandchildren and getting lost in pop-ups, fine print, questionable ratings and a world that felt built for someone half his age. Carl wanted something warmer — a place where a trusted face shows you a few genuinely good things, tells you the story behind them, and lets you take your time. Launching September 8, 2026, during Grandparents Day week, The GoGo Show goes live every other Tuesday at 11:00 am Central on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. It's a cross between your favorite morning show and meeting an old friend for coffee: unhurried, honest, and fun. Carl brings an attorney's care for the details and a grandfather's belief that shopping should feel personal again. He also brings a few stories from his time as a greenskeeper, goat herder, street musician and haberdasher before he went to law school.

Hilary Kennedy

Hilary Kennedy is an Emmy Award-winning television host known for her work on the nationally syndicated morning shows Eye Opener and The Glenn Beck Program. Her career has taken her from the couches of Access Hollywood and Extra to a guest spot on The Rachael Ray Show. Her rise in broadcasting has been chronicled by Working Mother Magazine, Glamour, and Marie Claire. She has been a style and entertainment expert for publications like Woman's Day, Fox News Magazine, and CNN.com.

Off camera, Hilary's heart for single mothers led her to help lay the groundwork for Helping Hands for Single Moms, a Dallas-based organization dedicated to lifting up women raising kids on their own while pursuing higher education. When she's not in the studio, Hilary is a wife, and mom to two young sons and two rescue chihuahuas. She has an unmatched ability to finish an entire pizza in one sitting, and she never misses a good UFC fight.
